There's more!
But... I just can't keep my eyes open any longer. The rest will have to wait until I can get internet access again.

Hello Lisa and Nickie,
You have just seen the east wearing her best garment of gold, yellow, red and orange. My daughter Cheryl always rhapsodized about the beauty of the countryside during the Fall and your pictures are reflective of this. I enjoyed looking at your gorgeous photographs. I am quite thrilled that you have made the big decision of taking this cross Canada trip. Many Canadians have not seen either side of their continent. Bernd agrees that some of your pictures were wonderful. You got yourself a digital I presume. Thank you for your email. You are probably in Vancouver now as I write this. Hope you continue to have a great time. The Rocky Mountain Range is truly something to behold. It has made Canadians vigilant about their natural resources. Too bad you two can't stop by here in Calgary. I'll write you a not again when I visit your site.
Thank you so much for posting; it's so great to hear from you!
Yes, the countryside has been just lovely! When we saw the North American Rail Pass deal, we simply couldn't resist the lure of seeing Canada. Yes, we have a digital, which makes it really easy to post our pics online. Instant gratification, the ultimate accessory. (grin) Glad you like the colors; I felt they were very appropriate for our trip. :)
We are having the time of our lives! The beauty of the Rockies never ceases to amaze.
We would so much have loved to stop by. We have a lot to squeeze in on this trip and the train only stops in Edmonton, unfortunately. Which struck me as rather strange when you compare the size and population of Edmonton compared to Calgary. There may have been a route along that way at one time, but as you probably know the railroads are having increasing trouble getting enough funding to continue sustaining the lines they have.
Thanks again for dropping a note to say hi! We'll have to make a special trip to come see you. Hope you're both doing better.

Nickie has been putting up with me since December '95, for which I feel very fortunate. :)
